Seven ground rules
Be respectful, keep it clean, follow the law, and protect minors.
- Respect others. Respect every user’s views. Do not offend, discriminate against or attack any person or group.
- Protect privacy. Do not disclose anyone’s personal information without their consent.
- No inappropriate content. Explicit, violent, terror-related or gory material is strictly prohibited.
- Follow the law. Make sure what you do complies with local laws, especially laws that protect minors.
- No false information. No false advertising, fraudulent information or misleading promotion.
- Report violations. If you see a violation, report it to us right away so we can act.
- Protect minors. Anything that harms the rights or safety of minors is dealt with seriously.
Following these together is how the platform stays a place people want to come back to.
On a call
The ground rules apply live, too — and you can leave, block or report at any moment.
Video calls are where most people meet on ometv.me, so the same rules apply there in real time: nothing explicit, violent or hateful on camera, no pressure on anyone to do something they do not want to do, no sharing someone's personal information, and no capturing or sharing the other person's image without their consent.
If a call goes wrong, you do not have to explain yourself — skip to the next person, block them, or report them from inside the call.
What you cannot post
The same core list applies to avatars, albums, nicknames, Moments and clubs.
Do not use any of the following as an avatar, in your album (photos or videos), in a nickname, in a Moment, or as a club avatar, club name, club introduction or join/create reason:
- Pornography, sexual acts, nudity or sensitive body parts — Everywhere
- Sexual innuendo — Everywhere
- Anything involving minors — Everywhere
- Advertising, contact details or information about other apps — Everywhere
- Blood or gore — Everywhere
- Discrimination, racism or insulting others — Everywhere
- Smoking, alcohol, drugs or weapons — Avatars, album photos and videos, Moments, club avatars
- Vulgar emojis — Nicknames and club names
- Rumours — Nicknames and club names
Face authentication
It must be you, clearly visible, and match your other photos.
The face authentication video must be filmed by you yourself, in good lighting, with nothing covering your face. Your avatar, video show, photos and face authentication video must all show the same person, or the authentication will not be approved. The content rules above apply to the authentication video as well.
Reporting
Reports are taken seriously and reviewed within 24 hours.
Use the report button on a call or a profile when you see something that breaks these rules. We review report submissions within 24 hours. Making false reports on purpose may lead to restrictions on your own account.
Penalties
Warnings for small things, suspension for repeats, permanent bans for serious cases.
Breaking the rules has consequences. Depending on how serious it is and how often it happens:
- Warning — for first-time or minor violations.
- Temporary suspension of account privileges — for repeated or moderate violations.
- Permanent suspension — for severe or repeated serious violations.
Violations may also lead to content being removed. We decide the appropriate action based on the nature of the violation.
